Airsoft and Paintball are opposite sides of the same coin. Both are player vs player combat simulation sports, however, there are some fundamental differences that give each sport it’s own unique flavour!

AIRSOFT

Airsoft is New Zealand’s most popular modern recreational combat sport!

Airsoft Key Details:

Ammunition: 6mm biodegradable plastic BB’s.

Impact/Pain: Low - Med. Similar to being flicked by someone, however close range shots can sting and leave a small temporary mark.

Equipment Style: Realistic replica’s of real weapons.

Accuracy: High.

Effective Range: 40-50 meters.

Play Style: Med-fast paced play style that rewards precision, teamwork and tactics.

PAINTBALL

Paintball has been a go to adrenaline rush for Kiwi’s since 1985!

Fast paced, heart pounding action. Paint splatters all around you as you call for your teammates to push up, victory is near!

Paintball Key Details:

Ammunition: 68cal (17.27mm) water-soluble paint filled balls.

Impact/Pain: Med - High. Similar to being flicked with a rubber band, however close range shots can hurt and leave a larger temporary bruise.

Equipment Style: Purpose built paintball markers.

Accuracy: Low-Medium.

Effective Range: 20-30 meters.

Play Style: Fast paced play style that rewards speed, teamwork and confidence.
